FAQ

EV charger installation questions, answered

How much does it cost to install an EV charger in Phoenix?

Most home Level 2 installs depend on the distance from your panel to your parking spot and whether your panel has room. Send us a couple of photos and we'll give you a firm quote, free, usually the same day.

Do I need a permit to install a Tesla Wall Connector?

Yes. Every Valley city requires an electrical permit for a new 240V circuit. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection for you as part of the job.

Can my electrical panel handle an EV charger?

Most 200A panels can. Older 100A panels sometimes can't, so we run a load calculation first. If needed, we can upgrade the panel or install a load-management device so you can charge without an upgrade.

How long does installation take?

Most home installs are done in a single visit of two to five hours. Permit approval and the city inspection add a few days before and after.

Do you install chargers for non-Tesla EVs?

Absolutely. We install J1772 and NACS chargers for every make, including Ford, Rivian, Hyundai, Kia, Chevrolet, BMW, Mercedes and Toyota.

Are there rebates for EV chargers in Arizona?

SRP and APS both run EV programs that change from year to year, including special overnight charging rates. We'll tell you what you qualify for when we quote.
